Vinegar eels are actually a small species of nematode that can be cultured in a bottle of apple cider vinegar. Maxing out at approx. 1/4 mm in size, vinegar eels make a great transitional food for fry and very small species of fish. Vinegar eels collect at the surface of their culture bottles where the oxygen is rich and can be harvested with a pipette.
