I'm an oddball lover myself, polypterus species in particular. I'd love nothing better than multiple large tanks, with all different species(and not just polypterus!), but have been limited to one tank in my "golden years". Pythons are your friend, and I'm not talking about snakes(Nothing wrong with them though, they're pretty cool too!) I just acquired a new 125 gallon, so I am going to finally get a pair of endlicheri polypterus, my first "lower jaw" species. Set up will be slow, I don't move as easily as I used to. May not have endlis in it until summer. It will have a sand substrate as polypterus have been known to mistake gravel for pellets and die because they couldn't pass it.
I may get a knife for a mid-level swimmer. Or see if I can grow a kissing gourami over 12 inches again.

I can wait to see photos, maybe you can take some step by step pictures to share. 🙂
We're still in the rearranging furniture stage at this point, it's a major size upgrade for the house. The weight won't be an issue, we're on a slab, but it's 2 feet longer and about 6 inches wider than the 55. I can't believe that I'm being this patient, but it's actually in my possession, so that helps, lol! I painted the back the same day I got it(Krylon's Rich Plum, my daughter's choice. It looks really good!) Tomorrow marks a week, so it should be fully cured and hard.
Hopefully my Fire takes good pics. I'll start the picture step-by-step once we get it out of the garage and in the house.
Tank still in the garage, I just got out of the hockspittle. Breathing issues, but no Covid-19, and I was back off O2 before coming home.
